Karnataka Kasuti

Initiated in 2010 with support from Deshpande Foundation aiming at enhancing livelihood of Kasuti artisans, it has grown in leaps. Branded ‘Kai Krafts’, it has enabled Kasuti artisans to upscale production of traditional and contemporary kasuti products as a viable livelihood opportunity.

It is generating employment for artisans by partnering with corporate clients, volunteers and institutions.  Artisans participate in exhibitions and craft fairs. Skill up-gradation training programmes are conducted to develop and update their skills. Social security is covered through accessing artisan cards and health insurance.
